Everyone knows the name.
Everyone knows at least one of their songs. Boney M is a classic dance group
from West Germany. It was created by
producer Frank Farian in 1975 and was composed of four West Indian artists
working in London, Germany and the Netherlands: Marcia Barrett –
vocals, Liz Mitchell – vocals, Maizie Williams and Bobby Farrell – disc jockey.
The line-up of the group went through numerous changes, Maizie Williams being
the only original member that remained. By the year 1979 Boney M had received
worldwide recognition with their hits which became instant number one hits
across Europe. As one of the most
successful bands of the 1970s and 1980s, BONEY M. sold more than 150 million
records worldwide, including over 50 million singles. Check this out: Chords for Beginners: Bon Jovi.

"This man's just got to go!" declared his enemies
But the ladies begged "Don't you try to do it, please"
No doubt this Rasputin had lots of hidden charms
Though he was a brute they just fell into his arms
Then one night some men of higher standing
Set a trap, they're not to blame
"Come to visit us" they kept demanding
And he really came
