Sheryl Crow (Sheryl Suzanne Crow) was born on February 11, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri. Sheryl Crow is an american blues rock singer, guitarist, bassist, pianist and songwriter. She started to work as a back-up singer. In 1987-88 she sang on Michael Jackson’s “Bad” world tour. She later sang back-up for Sting, Rod Stewart and Don Henley. In 1991 Crow recorded an album for A&M Records. Sheryl tranformed herself into a pop and rock singer with her debut single "All I Wanna Do." Sheryl Crow has made a very noticeable effort to change her image and go upscale since her original debut. It worked. She's moved on from the "girl with a guitar" image and has become a sophisticated, modern musician. She has sold more than 17 million albums in the U.S. and over 50 million albums worldwide. Bb       A
Hit it! This ain't no disco
Bb            A                           Bb
It ain't no country club either. This is LA!
E
"All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die,"
               C                     D

Says the man next to me out of nowhere
E
It's apropos of nothing
He says his name's William but I'm sure,
         C                                 D
He's Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy
         E
And he's plain ugly to me
            C                                    D
And I wonder if he's ever had a day of fun in his whole life
E  C  D…
We are drinking beer at noon on Tuesday
In a bar that faces a giant car wash
The good people of the world are washing their cars
On their lunch break, hosing and scrubbing
As best they can in skirts in suits
Bb      A
They drive their shiny Datsuns and Buicks
Bb        A
Back to the phone company, the record store too
Bb       A
Well, they're nothing like Billy and me, cause
A                  E
All I wanna do is have some fun
              C                            D
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
                     E
All I wanna do is have some fun
             C                             D
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
                      E
All I wanna do is have some fun
                 C                               D                               E       C
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard
E  C  D…
I like a good beer buzz early in the morning
And Billy likes to peel the labels
From his bottles of Bud
He shreds them on the bar
Then he lights every match in an oversized pack
Letting each one burn down to his thick fingers
before blowing and cursing them out
Bb  A  Bb  A…
And he's watching the bottles of Bud as they spin on the floor
And a happy couple enters the bar
Dangerously close to one another
The bartender looks up from his want ads
(A)  E  C  D…
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard

Bb  A  Bb  A…
Otherwise the bar is ours,
The day and the night and the car wash too
The matches and the Buds and the clean and dirty cars
The sun and the moon but
(A)  E  C  D…
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard

                G    Gsus4                    G     Gsus4
I've been long,    a long way from here
G                       Gsus4
Put on a poncho,     played for mosquitos,
           G                             C
And drank til I was thirsty again
                    C       Gsus4                         G        Gsus4
We went searching      through thrift store jungles
                    G             Gsus4
Found Geronimo's rifle,   Marilyn's shampoo
         G                                           C
And Benny Goodman's corset and pen
          C                     D
Well, o.k. I made this up
    C                                       D│
I promised you I'd never give up
                            Am      C
If it makes you happy

It can't be that ba---ad
                            Am
If it makes you happy
C                                         G          Gsus4
Then why the hell are you so sad
G  Gsus4  G  Gsus4…
You get down, real low down
You listen to Coltrane, derail your own train
Well who hasn't been there before?
I come round, around the hard way
Bring you comics in bed, scrape the mold off the bread
And serve you french toast again
C  D  C  D…
Well, o.k. I still get stoned
I'm not the kind of girl you'd take home
Am  C  G  D…
If it makes you happy
It can't be that bad
If it makes you happy
Then why the hell are you so sad

G  Gsus4  G  Gsus4…
We've been far, far away from here
Put on a poncho, played for mosquitos
And everywhere in between
C  D  C  D…
Well, o.k. we get along
So what if right now everything's wrong?
Am  C  G  D…
If it makes you happy
It can't be that bad
If it makes you happy
Then why the hell are you so sad
