Blur is the name of a British
rock band, it was formed in London in 1989. The first
release from Blur was the single 'She's So High', in 1990. The story really
began to gather speed with the next single, 'There's No Other Way', a hit in Britain in spring 1991. Blur's U.S. breakthrough came in
1997 with "Song 2," a hard-rock blitzkrieg from its self-titled fifth
album. Blur released the following albums: Modern Life Is Rubbish - 1993,
Parklife - 1994 and The Great Escape in
1995. In 2012, the group received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to
Music. Blur are set to release their first studio album in twelve years, The
Magic Whip, in April 2015. Band members: Damon Albarn – keyboard, vocals;
Graham Coxon – guitar, back vocals; Alex James – bass guitar and Dave Rowntree
