The
Blues Brothers band is an American blues and rhythm and blues revivalist band
founded in 1978 by comedy actors Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Members of the
Blues Brothers band: John Belushi – vocals; Dan Aykroyd – harmonica, vocals;
Paul "The Shiv" Shaffer – piano, organ; Steve "Gedwa"
Jordan – drums; Tom "Bones" Malone – saxophone; Lou "Blue
Lou" Marini – saxophone; Tom "Triple Scale" Scott – saxophone;
Alan "Mr. Fabulous" Rubin – trumpet;
Matt "Guitar" Murphy – guitar; Donald "Duck" Dunn –
bass guitar; Steve "The

"Too Big" Hall – drums. The Blues Brothers first appeared on Saturday
Night Live on January 17, 1976. The band made its second appearance as the
musical guest on the April 22. Their debut album Briefcase Full of Blues
quickly went platinum, launching Top 40 hit covers of Soul Man and Rubber
Biscuit. They began to tour in 1980 to promote their feature-length movie, The
Blues Brothers. In 1998 a second movie, Blues Brothers 2000, was released. Stay
