Roxette is a Swedish pop music duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson - vocals and Per Gessle - guitar. Roxette has sold 75 million albums worldwide since the 1986 establishment of the band. Roxette had scored a number of hits in their native Sweden and in Europe. They went on to achieve nineteen UK Top 40 hits and several US Hot 100 hits, including four US number-ones with "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love", and "Joyride". For the next ten years they were on top of the charts somewhere in the world, the constant flow of hit singles and albums resulting in staggering record sales. The duo took an extended hiatus from recording and touring, when in 2002, Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Roxette took to the stage together again for the first time in 8 years, in 2009, during Gessle’s European tour. Stay with the Chords for Beginners blog for more popular guitar songs!
