World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the Rapture and the reverent in the right, right
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam fight, bright light
Feeling pretty psyched

How to play chords in "R.E.M." songs as a beginner?

R.E.M. offers a treasure trove of beautiful, beginner-friendly chords that are perfect for guitarists looking to enhance their playing. Their music often features jangly, melodic progressions that are both accessible and richly textured.

"Everybody Hurts" is an excellent starting point, using simple open chords like D, G, Em, and A. The slow tempo and emotive strumming pattern make it ideal for practicing smooth chord transitions and expressive playing. "Losing My Religion" is another iconic R.E.M. song with beginner-friendly chords. It revolves around G, Am, Em, Dm, F, C and D major, incorporating a distinctive, arpeggiated picking pattern that adds a unique texture to the strumming. "Man on the Moon" uses straightforward chords such as C, D, Am, G and B minor chords, with a steady, upbeat rhythm that helps guitarists develop timing and consistency.

Playing these R.E.M. songs allows beginners to master essential open chords while enjoying timeless melodies. Their music provides a perfect blend of simplicity and depth, making practice sessions both enjoyable and musically rewarding.
