Christina Judith Perri was born in 19th august 1986, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia with her elder brother Nick Perri, who is also a guitarist. Her father, Dante Perri is from Italy, her mother comes from Poland. She has a sister too. At the age of 16 she learned to play the guitar by watching Shannon Hoon videos. Five years later Christina Perri moved to Los Angeles, got married and started to make music videos. 18 months later she divorced and moved back to Philadelphia. In this period she wrote her famous song: Jar of hearts. Due to her persistence, she finally got her way in the music world, her debut album appeared in 2011, called Lovestrong.
