The Chords for Beginners’ first artist is a popular rock band. The Scorpions band was one of the most well-known hard rock bands in Europe. They also were the most successful band in Germany. Now you can have five easy guitar chords from them. They sold more than 120 million records worldwide (according to other sources, more than 150 million records), 10.5 million in the United States. On the VH1’s top 100 of the greatest hard rock bands, Scorpions was 46^th. Their song “Rock you like a Hurricane” was 18^th.

The Chords for Beginners’ current “player”, the Scorpions was established in 1965, in the german city of Hannover. Their first album was released in 1972 titled Lonesome Crow. In the 70’s the band was successful in Europe and Japan. The American breakthrough was achieved in the 80’s with “Blackout”, “Love at first sting”. The band members (between 1978–1992): Francis Buchholz – bass guitar, Klaus Meine – singer, Matthias Jabs – guitar, Rudolf Schenker – guitar and Herman Rarebell – drums.
